Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is all about unrequited love and heartbreak paired with good music

Insight:

In the words of the director, the movie is not a conventional love story or a love triangle, but more so deals with relationships, unrequited love and heartbreaks which can be clearly seen in the promos. But the promos also don’t deny the idea of love-triangle with Ranbir Kapoor (Ayan) in the centre and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (Saba Taliyer Khan) and Anushka Sharma (Alizeh) at both the ends. There also seems to be another connection between Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan (Ali).

Buzz:

The initial trailer had over 15 million views. As per reports, Aishwarya Rai will be seen playing a role of Ranbir’s wife in the movie and Anushka would be Ranbir’s girlfriend. KJo has denied rumors of the movie being a remake of Doosra Aadmi. This would be Aishwarya’s first movie with KJo. The cameo by Sharukh Khan would be interesting. The newly released tracks by Pritam have created a sensation, with Bulleya garnering 12 million views and at the same time it has also been accused of plagiarism(This is my Last Resort by Papa Roach).

What to anticipate:

Romantic and soulful songs paired with beautiful locations as the movie has been shot at London, Paris, Vienna and Rajasthan. As per promos, one can see the passionate chemistry between Ranbir and Aishwarya but at the same time, the pattern changes to soft and caring hugs with funny activities with Anushka. Also, Anushka Sharma seems to be carrying her Muslim look that she attained in Sultan which suits her in the movie. The promos show Ranbir, once again donning his musical artist look, similar to that in Rockstar and we won’t be surprised when the story deals with the fervours of an artist, dealing with passion of music and love. Ranbir’s line towards the end of promo , “Ek tarfa pyar ki taaqat hi kuch aur hoti hai, auro ke rishton ki tarah yeh do logon mein nahi bathti, sirf mera haq hai ispe.” hints at unrequited love. Aishwarya looks absolutely gorgeous and we can expect some great acting from her.

Verdict:

This all doesn’t seem something new. We wish not to see a replay of Tamasha-cum-Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani-cum-Rockstar. Hopefully KJo shall weave his directorial charm like in Kal Ho Na ho and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum. Should be definitely worth to watch the first time.
