The first poster of Haseena – The Queen of Mumbai is out and Shraddha Kapoor looks bold and fierce with her angry stare, dark kohl eyes and stern look.
Shraddha will be seen shedding her cute-next-door girl charm (OK Jaanu, Aashiqui 2) in the upcoming biographical crime thriller based on the life of Haseena Parkar, sister of Dawood Ibrahim and also the queen of Mumbai’s underworld.
After her husband, Ismail Parkar was shot dead by the Arun Gawli gang in 1991, Haseena headed the crime world of Mumbai, backed by his brother, Dawood Ibrahim.
Shraddha’s real life brother, Siddhanth Kumar will be playing the role of her reel life brother, Dawood Ibrahim, in the movie. Apart from that, Sharman Joshi will be playing the role of a police inspector, while Sonakshi Sinha will be playing an important role in the movie too.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the movie will show Shraddha Kapoor showcasing the life of the underworld queen from the age of 14 to 43. In an interview, Shraddha said that she regrets not having met Haseena, who died in 2014. It will be interesting to see the childhood and the rise of an underworld queen.
The Movie shall hit theatres on July 14.
