Chhorii Trailer: Nushrratt Bharuccha’s horror film promises a thrilling watch

Amazon Prime Video has released the trailer of ‘Chhorii’. The Amazon Original film is set to premiere on the plaftform on November 26 in India and over 240 countries and territories around the world. Nushrratt Bharuccha is playing the lead role in the, with Mitta Vashisht, Rajesh Jais, Saurabh Goyal and Yania Bharadwaj playing other key roles.

Directed by Vishal Furia and jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishnan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, Jack Davis and Shikha Sharma, Chhorii is the Hindi remake of an acclaimed Marathi film Lapachapi.

The trailer gives you a glimpse into the world of Chhorii, where Sakshi (Nushrratt) has to deal with demons and witches, among other things.

This is the first time that Nushrratt is seen in a horror film. She will be seen in the role of a pregnant woman who reaches a village so that no one can find her, but the house where she stays is haunted by many old ghosts, especially a witch who was once pregnant.

The tension builds up with each scene and leaves the audience to answer a series of questions – will Sakshi be able to save herself? Will she be able to protect her unborn child? Sakshi’s quest takes the audience on a journey that oozes horror and thrill.

Sharing her thoughts about the film, Nushrratt Bharuccha had recently said that it is a challenging and exciting experience to step into a new and unique genre like horror. The story of the film is anchored in horror, which also has a point of view and I hope the audience will be able to connect with it, she said, adding that the trailer is a glimpse of a bigger mystery and horror that is ready to be unravelled. She hoped that viewers around the world will love and appreciate the film.

On the other hand, Director Vishal Furia states that Chhorii is a unique story waiting to be told to a larger audience. We aim to take a horror story like Chhorii to a wider cross-section of moviegoers and make fans of the genre feel the horror experience, he said.
