‘Break Point’ trailer shows on-off court partnership of tennis icons Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi

Break Point is seven-part series that will throw light on not only on but off court relationships of Lee-Hesh.

The trailer of the web series ‘Break Point’ is out. An intriguing and untold story of Lee-Hesh in ‘Break Point’, the seven-part series on ZEE5 is all set to throw light on not only on but off court relationships of Lee-Hesh. In addition to their achievements on the tennis court, the charismatic pair are known for their off-court lives and public divisions that broke the nation’s heart.

This is the first time that the tennis icons will appear candid and honest about the split and put the rumours to rest.

The trailer also features their family and friends including tennis icons Sania Mirza, Bob Bryan, Mike Bryan. You will also see the iconic partnership of Lee-Hash, which put Indian tennis on the world map in the late 1990s.

Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari, who are co-directing a project for the first time, say that Break Point will show the humans behind the icons. Leander and Mahesh are both sporting champions but, in this series, they are the two friends who are opening their hearts and putting themselves in front of the world.

Leander Paes says that he is glad for getting a chance to tell their story for the first time and hopes the audience appreciates the on-court partnership. “Will continue and respect our reasons for the break-up,” he says.

On the other hand, Mahesh Bhupathi said that all partnerships go through ups and downs and so have we. This is the first time the world will come to know about our off-court lives and relationships, he said, adding that this should not take away the duo’s victories and achievements because, despite the differences, Lee-Hesh made history.

‘Break Point’ is ZEE5’s first partnership with filmmakers Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari under their banner Earthsky Productions. The seven-part series will premiere on ZEE5 on October 1 and will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
