Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’ is doing wonders at the box office. The film is getting a good response from the audience across the country. Now if the latest reports are to be believed, Rohit Shetty and Reliance Entertainment have been offered a big deal from Netflix for the digital broadcasting rights of the action-packed flick. Netflix has reportedly offered a huge amount to the makers to premiere this Akshay Kumar film on its platform.
As per a source cited by Bollywood Hungama, the film will premiere on Netflix a month after its theatrical release of eight weeks. The source says that Netflix paid a premium price to Rohit Shetty and Reliance Entertainment. The previous deal was worth Rs 75 crores, the now the streaming company has offered a deal of Rs 100 crore to premiere it on Netflix on December 4.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, ‘Sooryavanshi’ was waiting for the release for the last one and a half years. The film was scheduled to release in April last year, but the coronavirus pandemic played a spoilsport and the film had to be postponed several times. Finally, the film was released after Diwali on November 5 amid controversy and did good business just after it hit the theatres.
This is the fourth film of Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe which is getting a tremendous response from the audience. The overall earning of the film has exceeded Rs 100 crore and as of 11 November, it has earned Rs 112 crore. Once again the old charm has returned in the theatres.

Akshay Kumar is playing the lead role in the film and Katrina Kaif is the female lead. Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn will also be seen working in this film. The film is getting a good response from both the audience and critics. The audience has described the film as ‘paisa wasool’ (worth the money). Fans are liking the action sequences of the film along with the chemistry of Khiladi Kumar with Katrina.
With the outstanding response the film has received, it is expected to earn more in the coming days. Besides, the song ‘Tip Tip Barsa Pani’ featuring Katrina and Akshay in the film has also proved to be a super hit.
